THE LOOK
Inspired by 90’s cult film Buffalo 66, the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi Spring/Summer 2013 collection was a chic, sexy and feminine collection of bold, exotic prints with sheer panels and delicate layers . Backstage, the Leighton Denny Expert Nails show team created a glossy, healthy, natural nail look on each model’s hands and feet to perfectly complement the minimal make-up and faux-effortless hair. First, models were treated to a mini manicure and pedicure to remove cuticles and neaten the nails. To capture the healthy, natural look, the team applied a layer of sheer-pink colour in Stunning and followed with a coat of Crystal Finish to create a super glossy, high -shine effect. A fresh, feminine and subtle beauty look that is simple yet glamorous.

Sophy Robson for Leighton Denny Expert Nails
THE LOOK
The House of Holland Spring/Summer 2013 collection was inspired by 90’s disco grunge and the ‘forgotten fashion decade’. The collection was born from Henry Holland’s love of 90’s TV & film with references taken from ‘My So Called Life’ and the model Erin Wassen. Backstage, Sophy Robson and her team created a multi-coloured tie-dye effect on the models’ nails using bright shades of pink, yellow and blue. This look can be achieved with All About Me for the pink base with canary yellow Brick Road and royal blue Captivated layered on top. The team used their fingertips to carefully smudge each pop of colour onto the nail to create the show-stopping marbled effect.

THE LOOK
A visual collage of music and modernity, the Acne Spring/Summer 2013 collection saw neutral tones with pops of orange and green flood the catwalk, conjuring a certain 90’s aesthetic that was complemented by the androgynous and edgy beauty looks. Backstage, nail queen Sophy Robson and her team custom blended a creamy, pale grey shade for the hands and feet. A high shine top coat completed the look to create a modern twist on a nineties nail. Recreate this super cool look using Leighton Denny Expert Nails Nail Colour in Message in a Bottle.
